Russia not to raise minimum alcohol retail prices from Jan 1

MOSCOW, Dec 13 (PRIME) -- The Russian government has no plans to raise the minimum spirits retail prices from January 1, 2024, the Finance Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

“The increase of the minimum retail prices for alcohol is not scheduled for January 1,” the statement read.

The ministry published a draft ruling in October on an increase of the minimum retail prices for vodka, cognac, and brandy from January 1, 2024.
